Ring-v6 的原始 XMM 椭圆构造
这是原始 notebook 的 CIAO physical-image ellipse 构造经 MskMap WCS 转换后的 FK5/DS9 检查页。它不是新的抽谱 region,也不改变现有 variable-W1 annuli。
m31_xmm_Ring_v6_fk5.reg 是二值 mask 的轮廓导出;原始定义是 R1 + Radd1 + Radd2 的多椭圆集合。下图显示已保存的三个 XMM v6 component mask,它们的并集与最终 Ring-v6 逐像素相同。

Final union check: R1 ∪ Radd1 ∪ Radd2 == Region8_Ring_v6 is True; pairwise overlaps are zero. In the historical XMM cell, the Radd2 text includes −E1; the retained source code below preserves that text, while the plotted saved Radd2 mask is the actual accepted v6 product.

Angles are DS9 FK5 ellipse angles. The common C8, G1, and G2 exclusions are repeated inside each component block. Do not concatenate all three blocks into one extraction region: their signs belong to separate component expressions. No ObsID FoV, CCD, source-mask, exposure, response, counts, or spectral fit weighting is included.
